ABOUT SSECD

The Scholars for Scientific, Educational, and Cultural, Development, Inc. (SSECD) is a nonprofit organization founded by a group of scholars in 2004. The primary purpose of SSECD is to assist the new and emerging scholars of science, culture, and education and to give them the necessary moral and financial support to enhance their research work. The organization promotes scholarly work that aims to advance social development and cultural understanding both in developed and developing countries. It gives exposure to new and promising scholars by sponsoring their work, inviting them to conferences and symposiums, and facilitating the publication of their work.

SSECD is not a membership organization, but supports scholars who have limited access to international and scholarly forums. It encourages scholarly development and dialogue between academics, researchers, and educators around the world. It stimulates suggestions for alternative academic growth and understanding and aims to advance more tolerant, more inclusive forms of human society in which both established and new scholars, and particularly the underprivileged ones, are equally motivated.
