Scholars for Scientific, Educational, and Cultural Development, Inc.

GOAL

SSECD supports original research and analysis, organizes consultations to help analyze problems and develop humanitarian policies. SSECD also organizes conferences, seminars and workshops on specific topics to develop research and policy proposals on new global visions of balanced human development.

SSECD recruits deprived and economically underprivileged scholars to attend international meetings in order to exchange information, ideas, and advocate policies. It provides assistance to scholars who travel and conduct fieldwork and research.

In working to achieve its mission, SSECD advocates research programs that attempt to strike an appropriate balance between national well-being and individual freedom. It seeks completion of studies and research programs by individual or group work. It works to create the conditions for true dialogue and understanding based upon respect and dignity of each civilization and culture. SSECD recognizes that the world urgently requires global visions of balanced growth based upon respect of national cultures, dignified humanity, and human rights. The first and the basic step to achieve this goal is to motivate and support scholars from different nationalities.

SSECD also provides forum for articulating the ethical, normative and intellectual issues of our time, and fosters multi-disciplinary exchange and mutual understanding, working towards national developments and universal tolerance. At SSECD we believe that cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue are important steps through which scholars can achieve a better vision of balanced human growth.
